    Melissa Blue Muhammad, Milwaukee native, founder of Allah Mode, wife, mother, jeweler, spoken word and healing artist.

  • Joshua Liston, Vice Chair

    Joshua Liston, owner and founder of Melanated Daddy, Life Redefined MKE, and he is also the man behind the Dad Doula and Dad Connect programs. Joshua Liston is an Army Veteran, husband, biological and bonus dad to four children, and a Full Spectrum Holistic Doula. He is a lover of Christ and believes in community. He also identifies as a femnist.

  • Dominique Madison, Secretary

    Dominique Madison is a passionate human resources professional with expertise in diversity initiatives and talent acquisition. Dominique is also a certified Birth Doula, providing compassionate and personalized support to families during life’s most meaningful moments.

  • Serita Valmond

    Serita Valmond, Master Certified Coach specializing in Chronic Pain, award-winning author, and Milwaukee County Substance Abuse & Prevention Coalition Mental Health Award Recipient, and radio host of “That’s What She Said” on WJMR Jammin 98.3 radio station.

  • Anastasia Thorn

    Anastasia Thorn studied Advertising at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh – Online Division and Communications at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. She has extensive experience in youth development and nonprofit leadership, including piloting a weekly Women’s Wednesday program as Teen Department Director for the Boys & Girls Club, which increased membership by 80%. She also served as Assistant Director for iD Tech at UCLA, where she supported student placement and retention, especially among young women in technology. She has worked in technical communications, global operations, and social media, and volunteered with UPAF Ride for the Arts, Milwaukee Film Festival, STEM Expo, Milwaukee RiverKeeper and more. Her current focus is on mental health awareness, community engagement, and empowering women and girls through meaningful service.

    Anastasia is also Ms. Wisconsin Petite 2025, bringing her leadership, advocacy, beauty and public presence to her role as a board member of BLK Girl Space.
